Great question!
Traditional, by-session therapy takes place in 50-minute sessions, every 1-3 weeks over the course of months. A typical outline of the impact this has on your life and schedule might look like this:
Scenario 1:
You have 2pm sessions scheduled with your therapist for once per week for 4 weeks, then bimonthly after that. You get off work at 1:30 pm to make it to your therapy appointment, which is finished by 3pm. It either takes you 60 minutes to collect yourself and return to work OR you decide not to return to work for the rest of the day. After 3 months, you're doing better! You drop therapy down to 1 session per month for a few months, then as needed after that.
Outcomes for Individuals Over 3 Months:
Total Therapy Hours: 8 hours
Total Missed Work Hours: 20-28 hours
Progress Toward Goals? Yes!
Outcomes for Couples Over 3 Months (if both partners work):
Total Therapy Hours: 8 hours
Total Missed Work Hours: 40-56 hours
Progress Toward Goals? Yes!
Worth it? Sure! But what if there was another option?

Let's look at an example Therapy Intensive schedule:
Scenario 2:
You schedule a Deep Repair & Renewal Couple's Intensive (8 hrs) for a weekday or a Saturday, followed by 2 Deep Dive Intensives (2-3 hr) over the following 4-6 weeks. You schedule your Deep Dives in the afternoons, leave work at 1:30pm, and do not return to work on those days. After that, you schedule bimonthly 50-minute sessions. 3 months after beginning therapy, you are doing better! You drop therapy down to 1 session per month for a few months, then as needed after that.
Outcomes for Couples Over 3 Months (if both partners work):
Total Therapy Hours: 13.5-15.5 hours
Total Missed Work Hours: 29-51 hours
Progress Toward Goals? Yes!
If you, as a couple, book your Deep Repair & Renewal for a Saturday, you might miss as few as 29 hours of work COMBINED over 3 months time, compared to a minimum of 40 hours over the same period when booking 50-minute sessions. You also receive nearly twice the hours of therapy (15.5 vs 8).
How much would you bring home with that extra 11 hours of income? How much farther might you progress toward your goals with that extra 7.5 hours of therapy?
Benefits of Intensives
Sometimes, a 50-minute session just isn't long enough. Intensives let you dive deeper and accelerate your healing.
A longer session gives you more time for focused attention from your therapist, as well as the opportunity to implement exercises IN SESSION that would typically need be done at home.
Fewer hours of work missed.
Fewer hours of childcare needed.
The ability to accelerate your healing process.
Don't wait. Healing can start as soon as you're ready.
